It’s raining leaks for Windows 8 screenshots from past few days,pcbeta being one of the major sources of the leaks.Here comes yet another from them.This time around the new leaks reveal the newly revamped handwriting recognition support for the upcoming Windows 8 operating system.
As all of us know that Microsoft is going the Metro Way,redesigning the upcoming O.S with the Metro UI similar to that of the Windows Phone 7 UI,they are making sure that they won’t miss out on even the small things.Redesigning some of the old features with the desktop version in Metro UI is always a difficult task.
PCbeta revealed the screenshots for the newly redesigned Metro based Handwriting tool which will feature in the upcoming Windows 8 Consumer Preview i.e Windows 8 Beta.As you can see from the above screenshots,the new Handwriting Tool is completely redesigned from the older Windows 7 based tool,highly optimized for the use in the upcoming Windows 8 tablets which are slated for release later this year from multiple manufacturers like Samsung,Dell and other biggies.
The Windows 8 Consumer Preview will be released later this month along with the release of Windows Store which will feature the Metro UI based apps.It’ll be interesting to see if this feature has its desktop counterpart as well,just like other apps like the Internet Explorer which has two different versions for Metro and desktop versions.
